About
“I accompany them toward a path that leads to a more fulfilling, hopeful, and happy life. “
Why I became a therapist
I became a therapist to honor the power of storytelling and to be a witness to each client's unfolding narrative. Many people I meet carry the weight of past traumas and negative experiences. I have seen how these experiences shape thoughts and feelings in ways that make life uncomfortable and overwhelming. However, I am also inspired by the resilience I see by so many every day. People don’t always fully understand the reasons behind their pain, and often overlook their strengths. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients uncover and unpack these underlying causes and accompany them toward a path that leads to a more fulfilling, hopeful, and happy life.
Who I work with
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational difficulties. I am enthusiastic about working with immigrants and international populations, helping them with identity struggles, and supporting them when they face discrimination and prejudice. I also enjoy working with and empowering female-identified populations, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC populations. I am experienced in and love working with individuals who suffer from perfectionistic, over-functioning, or type-a behaviors. With all my client populations, I have a particular interest in guiding them through all aspects of interpersonal relationships including relationship difficulties, communication, attachments, and sexual satisfaction.
“I emphasize empowerment for marginalized populations, as I aspire to amplify my clients' voices and help them navigate the often-oppressive society.”
Working With Me
In therapy, I provide a non-judgemental and welcoming space, in which my clients feel safe to share anything they want. I emphasize empowerment for marginalized populations, as I aspire to amplify my clients' voices and help them navigate the often-oppressive society. I use relational therapy with the influence of psychodynamic theory, in which I encourage the exploration of interactions with others, self, and how to change these patterns. I also incorporate interventions from existential therapy, encouraging and accompanying clients on the path of searching for love, meaning, and happiness.
