About
“It is necessary to normalize and prioritize mental health in the unpredictable world we live in.”
Why I became a therapist
It is important for every human to have an area in their life where they feel safe, heard and seen regardless of the circumstances or age. As a Mexican-American woman, I wanted to break the barriers found in most marginalized communities in regards to therapeutic guidance. It is necessary to normalize and prioritize mental health in the unpredictable world we live in. Representation is important and powerful. Within this field, I want to create a space where children and adolescents can familiarize or continue to learn about the importance of mental wellness. At such a pivotal and impactful time in their lives, it is necessary to recognize that they do not need to face these feelings alone. Additionally, I believe that every individual should be granted the opportunity to work towards their true and authentic self. Sometimes, it is difficult to open up about one’s struggles and as a therapist, I hope to be a reliable and trustworthy point of contact for each client regardless of age.
Who I work with
I understand that every individual has their own story to tell. I hope and am interested in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and immigrant communities who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship and attachment issues, low self-esteem, self-worth and trauma.
“My clients will experience a safe, empathetic and a non-judgemental environment that will be tailored to their needs.”
Working With Me
Within the therapeutic relationship, my clients will experience a safe, empathetic and a non-judgemental environment that will be tailored to their needs. I will provide culturally competent, sensitive and appropriate care for all ages and backgrounds. I will offer patience and trust as we embark on this journey together. In regards to working with children and adolescents, we will uncover different and healthy ways to approach new experiences and will be given a safe space where effective evolution and self-discovery is possible. Progression is not linear and I am passionate about meeting my clients where they are. I will be a consistent and secure figure in their lives as we work collaboratively in order to develop new outlooks and ways of thinking.
