About
"It is my ultimate goal to help others gain security in their understanding of themselves and their inherent worth."

Why I became a therapist
I practice therapy because therapeutic relationships are a powerful tool for healing and growth. I believe the root of many mental health needs are grounded in systems that do not support and nurture the complexity and diversity of human needs. I became a social worker to work both to challenge systemic inequity and also to sustain impactful interpersonal connections where people feel seen and valued in order to elicit change at multiple levels. While being a therapist is my job, the relationships I create through my work are deeply meaningful to me.

Who I work with
I work with youth, adolescents, adults, and people in relationships (families, romantic partnerships, etc.). I have extensive training and experience working with people who have experienced trauma, loss, or chronic stress as well as those seeking to heal from relational or attachment injuries. I also support people around general life transitions, moral injury, work or school stress, self-esteem issues, and identity development. It is important to me to provide an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ folx and to be culturally responsive to all identities including those working to integrate anti-bias and anti-racist learnings into their sense of self.

Working With Me
Therapy with me is a highly collaborative and relationally-focused process that requires mutual trust, honesty, and openness. You can count on me to show up with empathy, curiosity, and a lack of judgement. I will often bring the context of the environment (such as individual trauma, the political climate, the medical system, etc.) into the room as we work toward deeper understanding. It is my ultimate goal to help others gain security and satisfaction in their understanding of themselves, their relationships, and their inherent worth. This is not a requirement of our time together but reading is a big part of my life and I enjoy bringing books into sessions or making recommendations on relevant themes when helpful to others.
