About
“I’m inspired by people of all ages’ motivation to find happiness and meaning, especially when faced with systemic challenges that are often outside of their control.”
Why I became a therapist
Hi, I’m Becca! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I became a therapist because I find great meaning in connecting with others and supporting them on their path towards healing and personal fulfillment. I think your relationship with yourself is often overlooked but is incredibly important, and I love helping others fully express themselves, work through hard emotions, and ultimately make valuable change for themselves. I’m inspired by people of all ages’ motivation to find happiness and meaning, especially when faced with systemic challenges that are often outside of their control. I feel lucky to work in a field that values compassion, openness, and support.
Who I work with
I work with individuals of all ages who are navigating stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and life transition challenges, self-esteem issues, and a history of trauma. I have significant experience working with children and adolescents who need support with emotional regulation, school issues, and navigating the effects of trauma, and love working with this population. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing grief and loss, and strive to create a safe and validating environment for them to fully express and process through the difficult emotions that may come up.
“I view therapy as a partnership, one where individuals can feel empowered to be their most genuine self and take ownership of their stories and values.”
Working With Me
I view therapy as a partnership, one where individuals can feel empowered to be their most genuine self and take ownership of their stories and values. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, warm, and culturally affirming environment where individuals can find a sense of relief from life’s biggest challenges and work towards their own healing. I use different approaches such as Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy, Motivational interviewing, and Narrative therapy, but view every client as a unique individual and will adapt my approach based on what they need. When appropriate and if the client is comfortable with it, I also enjoy adding in some lightness and humor into sessions. Overall, I want to validate and support individuals who are looking to find balance and meaning, and create lasting changes in their lives.
