About
"I understand the importance of being heard and see it as an integral part of healing."
Why I became a therapist
I became a therapist because I believe in the power and importance of people telling their stories and being heard. I believe that each of us is an ongoing and unfolding narrative and I feel honored to receive and share that experience with my clients. As obstacles are constantly presented to us in life, my goal for clients is to have the confidence in themselves and their ability to live the life they want and deserve. I am here to act as a guide and support system with my clients while they discover the abilities they have within them.
Who I work with
We often can be our toughest critics and it is my goal to provide people a space where they can build kindness and grace within themselves in order to improve their lives. I work with adults of all ages who may be facing various struggles including anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and relationship issues. I believe therapy allows people to tap in their inner strengths that we so often overlook or don’t even realize we have within ourselves. Therapy provides a space for individuals to feel free to express their innermost thoughts, fears and goals. I strive to help clients realize their resilience, in a safe and supportive environment.
"I enjoy seeing the progress of clients coming into their own and overcoming adversities."
Working With Me
I value and enjoy creating a nonjudgmental and safe space for my clients to feel comfortable and safe to disclose and discuss what brings them in. I have an integrative approach that is tailored towards the individual and includes components of evidence-based approaches based on psychodynamic theories and Internal Family Systems techniques when exploring relationships with others and ourselves. I also like to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing when helping clients building coping strategies to navigate heightened anxiety, depression and life stressors. To help my clients build a strong foundation, I also incorporate psycho-education on important topics in order to build a sense of collaboration with the therapeutic relationship. I am here to act as a guide and support system with my clients while they discover the abilities they have within them.
